PVComplete to Launch PVSketch Modeling, Proposal Net App

PVComplete, a global solar sales and design software company, says PVSketch Mega, a modeling and quoting web app for utility-scale PV projects, will be released in January 2021.

PVSketch Mega provides information on the early site assessment and system design with the performance of cloud computing. The platform enables thousands of permutations of layouts to be executed to make key design decisions by quantifying how decisions affect the Round Coverage Ratio (GCR), kW power capacity and production values. PVSketch Mega optimizes all possible system configurations based on the goals and constraints of the project and delivers a configuration that best meets the expectations of the development team.

PVSketch Mega benefits include:

– Define site boundaries: import, geolocate and scale site map images with either Google Maps or KMZ files
– Import topography: import the topography for each website through Google Elevation Services. View the topography in 3D directly from the design
– Rackability Rating (% Rackable Land): Enter constraints such as slope and minimum contiguous area to determine how much of a site plan can be used. Adjust the constraints to maximize rackability from day one
– Optimize possible configurations: select different module and tracker options to see how different choices affect the ability to meet production and system size goals

“It has never been more important to ensure that project economics are at the forefront at the utility scale when it comes to minimizing risk, ensuring project bankability and generating returns,” said Claudia Eyzaguirre, CEO of PVComplete. With this in mind, PVComplete is focused on providing the industry with sophisticated utility-scale solar project design software tools to quantitatively inform portfolio decisions and accelerate development schedules. PVSketch Mega is powerful on its own, but in combination with PVCAD Mega it is an integrated solar project software platform for developers, engineers and installers on a utility scale. “
