Catalyze launches REenergyze software program to handle C&I solar + storage initiatives
Catalyze, a developer and independent power producer (IPP) of renewable decentralized generation (DG) and storage projects for the commercial and industrial (C&I) market with a 300 MW project pipeline under development, announced the launch of its own origin . Integration platform for REenergyze operating software to accelerate and scale the nationwide introduction of C&I solar and storage.
“In the past, scaling in the renewable energy C&I sector has been unique to developers and IPPs due to market fragmentation, high transaction and construction costs for smaller projects, ever-changing guidelines, and the need for on-site project development knowledge Challenges and expertise, ”said Steve Luker, CEO of Catalyze, whose company is supported by energy investors EnCap Investments LP and Yorktown Partners. “As a company built on the belief that technology enables efficient and substantial growth, we know that automating and standardizing the process of creating operations is the key to repeatability and scaling in the C&I sector.”
REenergyze streamlines the key processes in the creation, development, construction management, operation and optimization of commercial solar and storage projects to address the challenges in various technologies, regions, electricity markets and renewable energy programs. The platform is currently being provided by Catalyze and its co-development partners to identify, evaluate and manage projects throughout their lifecycle. In this way, the company can achieve efficiency gains that are often observed in the solar sector on a utility scale.
Catalyze has acquired over 37 MW DG Solar + storage projects in multiple regions. Building on this success, Catalyze is now implementing a market launch strategy that uses the tied capital, the know-how in the storage and provision of complex solutions as well as the integration capability of REenergyze in order to efficiently acquire companies that create added value for the Catalyze company.
“With their experience in delivering Solar + storage solutions, their technology platform, and significant financial support, the Catalyze team has all the elements necessary to become a leader in what is currently a highly fragmented market that is ripe for roll-ups and consolidation . Said Jim Hughes, Managing Partner of EnCap Energy Transition.
